Every year our school conducts the sports day at four levels – LKG & UKG, Std I to V, Std VI to VIII and Std IX to XII.

The higher secondary ports day is conducted on Independence Day ever year to enable the parents to watch their children excel in the field of sports & games.

The Republic Day, another national holiday is also utilized to conduct the Sports Day for the lower classes. Along with the sports activities, cultural programs will also take place. This enables the students to showcase their overall talents.

The Graduation Day and the Kinder Garten Sports day go hand and hand. It is a very special event where academics and sports outshine each other.

Our students establish themselves in interschool competitions also by participating and winning laurels, medals, cups and shields making Ramaniyam Sankara proud.

In the athletic sports events conducted by Vel’s Vidyashram, Thalambur our students participated and won many medals in various events. Our students participated in various athletic events like 100mts, 200 mts, 4x100mts Relay, long jump, shot put and sprint events at the senior and super senior levels. All these achievements led to the winning of the “Overall Championship” by the athletes of Ramaniyam Sankara.

In the Kho – Kho tournament conducted by Fathima Matriculation Hr. Sec. School for the memorial of the 2022 – 2023 batch students, the students of Ramaniyam Sankara too part in U/17 and U/19 girls category. The U19 girls team won the second place in the finals. The best captain award was flicked up TS.Madhumitha of Std XII.

Every year the students of Kinder Garten as well as the students of classes I to XII are taken on an excursion to various places within the city limits. In the academic year 2022 – 2023, the Kinder Garten children were taken on a trip to VGP Marine Kingdom. Std I to XI children had a great time at MGM Dizzee World. The students of Std XII alone went to Queen’s Land to enjoy themselves and relax their minds. The Children learnt discipline and proper behaviour outside the school campus.

The tiny tots of Kinder Garten engage themselves in other wonderful activities pertaining to all religions thereby showing equality of religion, status, caste and creed. Every Friday a special prayer is conducted exclusively by and for the Kinder Garten Children. The children also celebrate special days like colours day, shapes day, Fruits Day and Vegetable Mela.

Other than the academic curriculum the school also enhances the child’s development through extra-curricular activities in the form of Karate, Silambam, Robotics and Hindi.

Our students showcase their Karate and Silambam talents by participating in various competitions and winning laurels at the district levels.

At the end of every academic year, the exams on Robotics are conducted at various levels by Mastermind Academy. At the completion of each level, the students will be awarded with a certificate and they will go to the next level.

Hindi Prachar Sabha conducts exams to evaluate the students and honours the students by awarding cerfititicates.

We are proud to declare that our students have got the 1st and 2nd prizes and also won cash awards in the Elocution Competitions conducted by the R.T.O.

Talents are hidden in huts and need to be brought to the lime light. Our school hunts and guides, portrays and encourages such talented kids who, on many occasions, fail to get recognition and platform. In brief the school is striving and contributing to the overall personality development of the students.

Our school is the right choice for educating the deprived section. Apart from education, character building is also inculcated in a child at every step by our Teachers and Management who motivate and encourage the students.

Every year our school conducts special debate sessions in Tamil and English which are telecast on Independence Day through our channel. The best debates are awarded in the next academic year. Through this program the students are taught to overcome the stage fear and develop their inner hidden talents.

Hard work pays in the long run. The school reached its zenith when we were bestowed honor by the Secretary for Tamil Nadu Nursery, Primary, Matriculation & CBSE Schools Association Thiru.K.R.Nanda Kumar and High Court Judge Thiru. Vallinayagam as one of The Best Schools in Tamil Nadu.

Great happiness was showered on us when we were declared first place and awarded amongst 10 best schools in Tamil Nadu on 5th September 2015. This was the best gift for Teacher’s Day ‘A Special Wonderful’ memory.
